<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language:EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Researchers at Richard Stockton college of New Jersey carried out a study designed to investigate the effects of tai chi and aerobic exercise on functional outcomes and quality of life in patients with AIDS.  38 patients with AIDS were randomly into three groups, a tai chi group, an aerobic exercise group and a control group.  The tai chi and aerobic exercise group exercised twice weekly for 8 weeks.  Both the tai chi and aerobic exercise groups showed improvements in physiologic parameters, functional outcomes and quality of life.
